Mildmay’s origins date back to the 1860s, and we remain Europe’s only specialist unit providing care and rehabilitation for people with complex HIV-related conditions, including HIV-associated brain impairment. In recent years, we have expanded to support people experiencing homelessness, post-COVID recovery, and post-detox rehabilitation.

Since 1998, we have extended our work internationally, and later this year we will launch new initiatives in Uganda, building modern specialist centres offering inpatient, outpatient, community outreach, and telemedicine services.

This year we celebrate 40 years since our re-establishment as a charity in 1985. From pioneering HIV/AIDS care to providing life-changing support today, Mildmay continues to tackle health inequalities.
